“Are you okay? There’s something different about you,” Cas says, squinting at Dean.
Dean balks and lightly shrugs his shoulders. He exchanges a wary glance with Sam before turning back to Cas and giving him a placid smile. “I’m fine,” he says, as he reaches forward to pat Cas’ shoulder.
Cas observes him for a moment before grabbing onto his arm.
They lock eyes for a brief moment before Cas turns his arm over and rolls up his sleeve.
Dean doesn’t bat an eyelash, rather, he allows Cas to continue on with his search.
When Cas sees the mark, he looks up at Dean, anger flashing in his eyes. “What have you done?” he asks.
Immediately Dean pulls away, recoiling from Cas’ touch and quickly rolling down his sleeve.
“I’m gonna…grab a coffee,” Sam mutters awkwardly as he runs a hand through his hair. He walks away from them, glancing back once, only to see them staring at each other and not saying a word.
